Three things about me

  1. I always found inspiration in reading stories and novels. I first wrote a story when I was seven years old, it was a fairy-tale. That’s all I remember – I was inspired by children stories and I could never get enough so I wrote my own.
  2. I play piano. Started eleven years ago. I developed the taste for classical music very early as my mum played it – I inherited many interests from my parents, most notably: I adore learning about the Universe (thanks to my dad), I’m a sort of a history geek, especially interested in ancient myths (thanks to my aunt).
  3. I have dozens of manuscripts (stories mostly but also a couple of novels) that are waiting for me to grow some more so I can polish them. I never seem to be satisfied with what I do as I know I’ll get better at it over time – so I leave stuff to collect dust.

Five questions from Amy Walters

Kindle or paperback?

Paperback. Call me old-fashioned but I like to feel the paper turning and the smell of a new book is one of my greatest pleasures.

Milk chocolate or Dark Chocolate?

That’s a tough one and with a twist because I probably consume more milk chocolate but prefer the dark. I just confused myself and it’s time for some soul-searching.

Funniest typo ever found in a WIP?

Oooh, I’ll have to disappoint you all, I write fiction in Serbian, then translate it to English with a lot of precautionary measures so typos are more often just my bad spelling and not accidentals.

Which famous Author would you like to meet (dead or alive)?

Gabriel Garcia Marquez is my all-time favorite and I was devastated when he died since I had dreamed of meeting him (I knew I’d never get the chance but his death shut that door forever).

Top piece of advice for aspiring authors?

Be persistent. Don’t give up when it gets tough – and it will. It’s all up to you and it’s you who decides in the end whether you’ll succeed or not.

My Nominees

It was hard to decide on my nominees since I follow many amazing blogs. But here they are:

E. B. Johnson

Ceolsige

What Living Taught Me

Simplistic Insights

My Mindless Drivel

My questions

  1. What blogging means to you?
  2. What was the worst day of blogging like for you?
  3. What is your goal in connection with your blog?
  4. What was your wildest, craziest idea for a story?
  5. At what point would you say ‘I succeeded’?

My best post

I don’t know if it’s the best one, you’ll be the judge of that, but my favorite post is Creating Characters From Your Surroundings.

That’s it. I thank again Amy for nominating me and Okoto for creating this.

Keep writing!

  1. Congrats! The advises you post on your blog are very good.
Thanks for nominating me it means a lot 🙂
Even I love paperbacks over kindle. One can’t compare that sweet smell of a book with kindle also when you treasure those books in your shelf they are like trophies 🙂

    • I really like your blog and I was sure I commented on your post about having portraits but now I see it’s not there. Though, I did have a trouble with commenting so it must be that. Anyways, I’m glad you saw it 🙂
